North Carolina will face No. 4 Alabama Friday in their final regular season meet. The Heels look to continue improving upon their scores in preparation for the EAGL Championships next weekend. UNC is 10-4 going into Friday's meet.
Coach Derek Galvin is prepared to compete against a very competitive team. "As a team right now, the focus is on getting ready to the next few weeks," he said. "Alabama is going to be an exciting atmosphere to compete in as we're getting ready for the conference championships."
Senior Morgan Evans and junior Elizabeth Durkac are each going into Friday having won three individual all-around titles, and look to lead the Heels again. Evans is currently second in the EAGL Conference on uneven bars, averaging a 9.828, and Durkac is tied for fourth on the balance beam with an average score of 9.763.
The meet begins Friday at 7:30, and live coverage will be available on Alabama's athletics website.
