CHAPEL HILL, N.C.--No. 23 North Carolina welcomes Big South foe Campbell (16-15) for a midweek contest Wednesday, March 28, at 7 p.m. from Anderson Stadium. The Tar Heels are 22-8 and coming off an 8-0 win over South Carolina.
North Carolina swimming legend Sue Walsh will throw out the first pitch against Campbell. Walsh is one of the greatest swimmers in Carolina history, she was a 10-time national champion, was selected for the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team and is in the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame.

SERIES RECORDS
Carolina and Campbell have faced each other 70 times, with the Tar Heels owning a 56-14 advantage in the all-time series.
UNC has won four of the last six meetings with the Camels.
North Carolina split a pair of games with Campbell last season. The Tar Heels defeated the Camels, 6-1, before falling, 7-4, in game two of the doubleheader in Buies Creek, N.C., March 23, 2011.
NOTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina is off to its best start since 2009, opening the season with a 22-8 ledger.
The NCAA released the 2012 season's first Ratings Percentage Index (RPI) and the Tar Heels hold the second-best rating of any school in the ACC at No. 27, trailing only Florida State (No. 22).
Five Tar Heels are batting over .300 on the season: Amy Nece (.415), Logan Foulks (.338) Ally Blake (.333), Kelli Wheeler (.322) and Constance Orr (.306).
Four Tar Heels also rank in the top-10 of the ACC in batting average: Nece leads the league with a .415 average, followed by Blake (fifth), Foulks (sixth) and Wheeler (10th).
Displaying power at the plate, seven Tar Heels have notched double-digit home runs in 2012: Foulks (6), Wheeler (6), Haleigh Dickey (4), Jenna Kelly (3), Blake (3), Orr (2) and Jordan Scarboro (2).
The Tar Heels boast a potent offense: ranking 30th in the country in home runs per game at a 0.93 clip and are 56th in runs per game with a 5.03 average.
UNC also leads the Atlantic Coast Conference in doubles (39), home runs (28) and slugging percentage (.444) and is second in batting average (.276) and third in RBI (136).
Carolina is also stout defensively, leading the conference and ranking 14th nationally in fielding percentage (0.976). UNC owns the second-lowest ERA in the ACC (2.26).
Dickey and Foulks lead the team and the Atlantic Coast Conference in doubles with seven two-baggers do date.
Lori Spingola was just named ACC Pitcher of the Week for the second time in 2012--sixth time in her career--following a 4-0 week. The sophomore was brilliant in the circle against South Carolina Wednesday, March 21, tossing her fourth career no-hitter, as the Tar Heels blanked the Gamecocks, 8-0.
Spingola is tied for fifth in the country in total victories (16), eighth in the nation in strikeouts with 167, is tied for second nationally with eight shutouts and is 20th in strikeouts per seven innings (9.1).
Haleigh Dickey recorded her first grand slam in the win over South Carolina Wednesday. The sophomore from Woodstock, Ga., is second on the team in RBI (22), home runs (4) and leads the team in doubles (7).
