Carolina Holds Saturday Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina Tar Heels held a five-inning scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at a hot and steamy Boshamer Stadium with the Blue squad coming back to take a 6-4 win.
Blue got on the board first in the bottom of the first on a Skye Bolt triple to right that drove in Matt Rubino who had singled. Cody Stubbs then drove in Bolt with a single to left.
Navy tied the score with a pair of runs in the top of the third. Colin Moran led off the inning with a single to right, then Parks Jordan drove him home with a double to right. Michael Massardo followed with a double to left to drive in Jordan and tie the score at 2-2.
Navy then took the lead in the top of the fourth. With the bases loaded and no outs, Colin Moran's single to right drove in a pair of runs for a 4-2 Navy lead. Blue then came back with four runs in the bottom of the inning for the final 6-4 score. The biggest hit of the inning was Matt Rubino's two-run single after the score was tied at 4-4.
Four pitches threw: Jack Gerraghty, Henry Sisson, Matt Lowry and Dallas Newton.
Next week the Tar Heels will scrimmage on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
