Moran Named PG Preseason All-America

Junior third baseman Colin Moran was named to Perfect Game's Preseason All-America Second Team on Monday.
Moran is coming off a sophomore campaign that saw him start 41 games and pace the Tar Heels at the plate with a team-high .365 batting average. The Rye, N.Y., native tallied 11 doubles, three home runs and 35 RBIs for Carolina in 2012.
The preseason all-america honor is the second of the year for Moran who was also recognized as a third-team all-america by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Moran and the Tar Heels open the 2013 season on Friday, Feb. 15 against Seton Hall.
