Durkac Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Elizabeth Durkac was named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League Gymnast of the Week for her performance in the Tar Heels' meet against George Washington and William & Mary.
Durkac won the all-around title with a new personal best 39.300 after placing first in both the vault and uneven bars. Her 9.850 on vault tied her personal best. She also finished second overall on the balance beam and floor exercise. Durkac's total surpassed her previous best score of 39.275 recorded last year against George Washington.
Carolina scored a season-best 194.500 to win the meet. The Tar Heels travel to College Park to face Maryland on Saturday, Jan. 26.
