LOUISVILLE, Ky. - UNC sophomore pitcher Lauren Fuller earned National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2012-13 season, the organization announced.

Student-athletes who achieve a 3.50 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale are recognized as an NFCA Scholar Athlete.

The Tar Heels earned their 11th trip to the NCAA tournament and finished the 2013 season 40-21 overall and 13-8 in ACC play, recording the sixth 40-win season in the last seven years.

UNC continues fall play this week, hosting NC Central for a doubleheader on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 4 and 6 p.m., and then playing a doubleheader against Elon at noon and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5. View the complete fall schedule here.
