Loeb, Carter Find Success In Singles At National Indoors

Teammate and fellow freshman star Hayley Carter also moved into the second round of singles after a 6-3, 6-3 win over Bianca Sanon.
Carter will match up with No. 25 Emina Bektas of Michigan on Friday at 11:30 a.m.
Loeb disposed of Florida's Sofie Oyen, 6-2, 6-4, and will now face Chanelle Van Nguyen of UCLA on Friday at 10 a.m. Earlier this fall, Loeb defeated Van Nguyen, 7-5, 6-0, in the first round of the Main Draw at the Riviera/ITA All-Americans on Oct. 3
Oyen, the 16th ranked player nationally according to the Preseason ITA rankings, becomes the fifth top 20 player Loeb has defeated this fall.
In doubles, Carter and Loeb received a first-round bye, before falling 8-6 to Georgia's Lauren Herring and Maho Kowase.
