Durant Named CFL All-Star

TORONTO - Former North Carolina record-setting quarterback Darian Durant has been named a Canadian Football League (CFL) 2013 All-Star. Durant, who plays for the Saskatchewan Roughriders, was named the QB of the CFL's West Division All-Star squad.
Durant, who played at UNC from 2001-04, is in his eighth season with Saskatchewan. This year he has completed 325 of 531 attempts for 4,154 yards and 31 touchdowns. The Roughriders are 11-7 and face the BC Lions in the semifinals of the Western Conference Sunday, Nov. 10. Kickoff temperature for that game is expected to be 15 degrees.
The Division All-Stars were selected by 77 voters, including members of the Football Reporters of Canada (FRC) and CFL head coaches. The East Division All-Stars were selected by the voting members from the East Division markets, East Division head coaches and the National Chapter. The West Division All-Stars were selected by the voting members from the West Division markets, the West Division head coaches and the National Chapter.
