The series finale between Boston College and North Carolina originally scheduled for 1 p.m. on Sunday has been cancelled due to rain in the Chapel Hill area.
The Tar Heels will return to action on Tuesday when they host VCU at 6 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium. Due to the cancellation the Tar Heels will send junior left-hander Hobbs Johnson to the mound on Tuesday and freshman Trent Thornton will take the bump Wednesday against Winthrop.
