Tar Heel Spotlight: Lori Spingola

GoHeels.com is highlighting each Carolina softball player throughout the season. Today's Tar Heel Spotlight is with Lori Spingola, a junior pitcher from Atlanta, Ga.
GoHeels.com: What is the best memory of your softball career so far?
Lori Spingola: Winning 18-Gold Nationals my senior year of high school. I pitched eight games in four days and beat Team North Florida in the championship game.
GH: How did you get started playing softball?
LS: I played because my older sister played, and my dad played baseball in college and encouraged me to play.
GH: Why Carolina?
LS: Because of the amazing tradition and the prestigious academics and softball program.
GH: What is your favorite class this semester?
LS: My favorite class is Comm160 Performance Studies because I get to dress up and give performances in front of the class and watch other people in my class perform.
GH: What is your dream profession?
LS: Dolphin Trainer
GH: What is your favorite pre-game snack?
LS: Bananas with peanut butter
GH: What is your walk-up song?
LS: "Tear Away" by Drowning Pool
GH: If you played another sport, what would it be?
LS: Basketball.
