Tar Heel Spotlight: Amy Nece

GoHeels.com is highlighting each Carolina softball player this season, and today's Tar Heel Spotlight is with Amy Nece, a junior outfielder from Redlands, Calif.
GoHeels.com: What is your best memory of your softball career so far?
Amy Nece: The best memory of my career so far has probably been winning winning nationals with the So. Cal Athletics my senior year in travel ball. It was the inaugural ESPN Premier Tournament, and I couldn't think of a better team to share the experience with.
GH: How did you get started playing softball?
AN: My sisters and I grew up playing wiffle ball in the backyard, so when I became old enough I knew exactly what sport wanted to play.
GH: Why Carolina?
AN: I wanted a school with great academics while having an outstanding athletics program, and with Carolina you get just that.
GH: What is your favorite class this semester, and why?
AN: My favorite class so far this semester is EXSS 328- Sports Entrepreneurship. its my favorite class because it's helping me discover what I want to do after college and what skills I need to get there.
GH: What is your dream profession?
AN: Disney princess at Disneyland
GH: What is your favorite pre-game snack?
AN: Peanut Butter and Red Bull!
GH: What is your walk-up song?
AN: "We Got More Bounce in California" by Soul Kid
GH: If you played another sport, what would it be?
AN: If it were for Carolina, probably field hockey because it's such a successful program, and i feel that i might be good at it. But for fun, it would be volleyball because I played in high school and was good at it.
