Blue Wins In The Bottom Of The Eighth On Friday

Chapel Hill --- With the score tied 3-3 after five, Blue and Navy combined for thirteen runs in the last three innings as Blue pulled out a 10-9 win in the bottom of the eighth and final inning.
Skye Bolt paced the Blue squad with two home runs and a double. Bolt hit two-run home runs in both the sixth and seventh innings to go with his first-inning double.
Joe Dudek homered for the second time in two days. Dudek hit a shot over the fence in right for a solo homer in the sixth.
With the score tied at 9-9 going into the bottom of the eighth, Matt Rubino singled up the middle to drive in Matt Roberts with the game-winning run.
After taking the week-end off, Carolina will play host to the Ontario Blue Jays on Monday at 1:30 p.m. Admission is free.
Note: Carolina's 2013 College World Series team will be honored early in the halftime of Saturday's football game against ECU.
