Switzer Named To FWAA Freshman All-America Team

Chapel Hill, N.C. - North Carolina's Ryan Switzer has been named to the Football Writers Association of America Freshman All-America Team.
Switzer emerged as one of the nation's elite punt returners in his first season at Carolina. The Charleston, W.Va., product led the country and tied the NCAA single-season record for punt return touchdowns with five and became just the second player in NCAA history to return a punt for a score in three consecutive games.
For the season, Switzer ranks first in single-season school history in punt return yards with 502 and his 20.9 single-season average is a school record. Switzer also ranked third on the team in receptions (32), receiving yards (341) and receiving touchdowns (3).
