•Air Force ROTC 1st Lieutenant Bill Collette will carry the flag for the team entrance
•ROTC honorary captains and door-openers
•On-field recognitions of
Master Sergeant Frank Boaz, senior military instructor for UNC Army ROTC
Robert A. Connolly, associate professor of finance at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, who has organized care package efforts for troops serving overseas
US Navy veteran Matthew Cottom
Current and former military among the UNC faculty, staff and students.
•A patriotic halftime performance from the Marching Tar Heels
•“A few special surprises up our sleeves,” according to Michael Beale, assistant athletic director for marketing.
Additionally, the UNC athletic department has received more than 100 photos and videos from active duty or veteran members of the armed forces to be featured on the Kenan Stadium video board during timeouts.“It's a day full of tributes to our men and women who serve and protect this country,” Beale said.
