INSIDE THE HELMET: Before you go to the game, hear a bit more about what's inside the helmet. Dr. Kevin Guskiewicz -- Kenan Distinguished Professor, Co-Director of the Matthew Gfeller Sport-Related Traumatic Brain Injury Research Center and Director of the Center for the Study of Retired Athletes in the Department of Exercise and Sports Science - will be the latest speaker at the UNC Game Day Lecture Series on Oct. 18.
His topic, "Get Inside the Helmet: Understanding Football Head Injury Protection," will address Carolina's cutting-edge research on sport-related concussions.
The lecture will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Sonja Haynes Stone Center for Black Culture and History. It is free and open to the public.
