• Sophomore tailback T.J. Logan rushed for a season-high 92 yards on 18 carries, including the game-winning 1-yard run with 50 seconds to play. Logan's previous rushing high this year was 75 yards against Georgia Tech. The touchdown was his second rushing score this year (other was against Georgia Tech).
• Today marked the second consecutive home game in which T.J. Logan scored the game-winning touchdown with less than one minute to play. On October 18th, Logan scored from two yards with 11 seconds to play to give UNC a 48-43 win over Georgia Tech.
• Logan had a career-high 18 carries (his previous was 16 as a freshman against Duke and Miami). His previous high this year was 14 vs. Georgia Tech.

Today was the first time in his career that Williams rushed for three touchdowns in a game. It was his second 100-yard rushing game this season and the third of his career.
• Williams completed a school-record 16 consecutive passes at one stretch. The previous single-game mark of 15 was set last year by Bryn Renner vs. Miami. Williams completed just four of his first 16 attempts for 31 yards. He was 19 of 24 for 245 yards during the remainder of the game.

• Williams set a UNC single-season record today for most rushing yards by a quarterback. This year, Williams has rushed 141 times for 628 yards. The previous record by a UNC quarterback was 541 by Jim Lalanne in 1940. Williams has at least two more games this season to extend that mark.
• Williams compiled 398 yards of total offense. He has 3,125 yards of total offense this season, the third-most in UNC history (moved past Bryn Renner's 2,998 in 2011 and Darian Durant's 2,947 in 2003). Williams has 5,672 career total offense yards, fifth-most in UNC history. He moved past Jason Stanicek (5,497) today.

• Junior ram Malik Simmons forced the only turnover of the game, a fumble by Pitt quarterback Chad Voytik at midfield with less than 30 seconds to play in the fourth quarter and UNC holding a 40-35 lead. Shakeel Rashad recovered the fumble to clinch the victory for the Tar Heels.
