POSTGAME NOTES
NORTH CAROLINA 103, ROBERT MORRIS 59
• Carolina is now 2-0 overall and 2-0 at the Smith Center this year.
• This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools in men's basketball.
• Junior forward J.P. Tokoto handed out a career-high 10 assists. That's two more than any Tar Heel had in a game all of last season. The last time a Tar Heel had 10 assists was Marcus Paige vs. Florida State in the 2013 ACC Tournament.
• Tokoto's previous career high was six assists; he had seven in the first half this evening.
• Carolina's five starters combined for 20 assists and two turnovers.
• Freshman Theo Pinson had five assists and no turnovers.
• Sophomore forward Kennedy Meeks posted his third career double-double with 21 points and 12 rebounds in just 17 minutes. Meeks made nine free throws, which is five more than he made in any game last year. He also matched his career high with six offensive rebounds. Last year, Meeks had double-doubles against Louisville and Iowa State.
• Junior forward Brice Johnson scored 23 points, grabbed eight rebounds, had three assists, two steals and a block. Johnson's 23 points were one off his career high, but he made a career-best 10 field goals.
• Carolina had 29 assists on its 36 field goals.
• The Tar Heels had 20 offensive rebounds, two more than Robert Morris had defensive rebounds.
• Isaiah Hicks matched his career high with three blocked shots.
• Carolina scored 103 points, the 48th time UNC has scored 100 or more points in Roy Williams' 12 seasons as head coach. The Tar Heels are 47-1 in those games.
