Tar Heel Spotlight: Seven Innings With Tracy Chandless

GoHeels.com is highlighting each member of the Carolina softball team throughout the 2014 season. Today's spotlight is on Tracy Chandless, a sophomore third baseman from Canyon Country, Calif.
1. What does it mean to be a student-athlete at North Carolina?
Being a student athlete at Carolina is one of the biggest honors. It teaches me how to balance being a student and an athlete while striving for success in both.
2. What is your favorite thing about playing for UNC softball?
My favorite thing about unc softball is traveling to new places and all of the memories I am making with my teammates.
3. What did you take away from working with The Program during preseason?
The program was THE most challenging thing we have done as a team. And we got through it. It showed me that the teammate to the left and right of me will always have my back.
4. How do you like to spend your free time outside of class and softball?
When I'm not in class or playing softball, I enjoy sleeping.
5. Fun fact - what is something most people don't know about you?
Something most people don't know about me is that if I had a reality TV show, it would be a hit and everyone would watch it (:
6. If you could go to dinner with a famous person, who would it be and where would you go?
If I could go to dinner with anyone, it would be Chelsey Handler because she is hilarious, and I am hilarious, so it would be a good time.
7. What is your greatest strength as a softball player?
My greatest ability as a softball player is to not think. Thinking will kill you.
