February 3, 2014 | Men's Soccer
"We are excited to announce the additions of Scott (Goodwin) for the 2014 season," said RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke. "He was identified early on in our scouting process and is a very talented player that will be contributors in our pursuit of a Championship."
Goodwin becomes the 14th player since 2013 to join the RailHawks with North Carolina youth or collegiate soccer ties. Goodwin amassed a spectacular career for the Tar Heels that few could match. His 41 career shutouts, 7,103 minutes played, and 0.54 goals-against-average are all program career records, in addition to holding five single season records.
In his career from 2009 to 2012, Goodwin was part of four straight ACC Regular Season Championships, the 2011 ACC Tournament Championship, four straight NCAA Tournament Appearances, three consecutive NCAA College Cup Appearances, and the 2011 NCAA Men's Division I National Championship.
