Williams, Otis Represent Tar Heels At ACC Kickoff

Chapel Hill - North Carolina quarterback Marquise Williams and bandit Norkeithus Otis will represent the Tar Heels at the 2014 Atlantic Coast Conference Football Kickoff event, July 20-21, at the Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C.
Williams is a talented playmaker who has the ability to escape trouble in the pocket. Last season, he appeared in 12 games and started six at quarterback, helping the Tar Heels to a bowl victory for the first time since 2010. Carolina won four of Williams' six starts. He completed 126 of 217 pass attempts for 1,698 yards and 15 touchdowns and led the team with 536 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns.
Otis, a senior from Gastonia, N.C., is a preseason candidate for the Bednarik Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top defensive player. Otis appeared in all 13 games last season and started 10 at bandit, finishing the season with 49 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, nine quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles, three pass breakups and an interception. He played well in the Belk Bowl win over Cincinnati with seven tackles, including two tackles for a loss and a sack.
Williams and Otis are two of 28 players that will be in Greensboro on behalf of their respective teams.
