Papa Hosts Softball Rookie Brunch

As students made their descent upon Chapel Hill this past weekend, Head Coach Donna Papa and the Tar Heels softball program welcomed five new players into the UNC family at the annual rookie brunch.
“I always get excited at this time of year” said Papa. “It's great to see all of our players, families and support staff. Most importantly it is a special time to welcome our freshmen class to UNC. The recruiting process is long and as a coaching staff we are waiting for them to put on Carolina Blue and be a part of our team and family.”
Joined by friends and relatives, the rookie brunch saw the five newest Tar Heels presented to their now teammates and were introduced to the entire coaching and support staffs.
“It is a great opportunity for everyone to just visit and get to know one another” remarked Papa. “It's one of the first days they get to spend with all of their Carolina Family and enjoy celebrating being a Tar Heel.”
