Renovation Plans For Carolina Gymnastics

The Rams Club is excited to announce a fundraising campaign for renovation of UNC Gymnastics' practice space within Fetzer Gym. These enhancements will provide the gymnastics team with a much larger and more comprehensive practice space than ever before. These improvements will greatly enhance the student-athlete experience and better prepare the team for competition.
“I am excited about the planned renovation of the Gymnastics Team's training facility in Fetzer Gym," said head coach Derek Galvin. "We need your assistance and support to make this project a reality.
Alumni and friends of Carolina Gymnastics have collectively committed to naming the facility in honor of Galvin, who is entering his 34th season at UNC in 2015.
"This renovation will have a tremendously positive impact on Carolina gymnasts," says Galvin. "You can help provide our student-athletes with the latest in teaching tools, safety apparatus and potential training progressions – all building toward putting our gymnasts in the best position to reach their fullest potential. Additionally, the renovation will greatly enhance the visual appearance of the facility, and make it a more attractive asset to prospective student-athletes in the recruiting process.
"At Carolina, we speak of being “a Better Blue”. To do that, we need your assistance. Your support will help us to revitalize the training facility for Carolina Gymnastics, and will inspire some of the best student-athletes in the nation."
