UNC To Celebrate National Girls And Women In Sports Day

Join Tar Heel student-athletes from a variety of women's sports to celebrate National Girls and Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) on Sunday, Feb. 1, from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Woollen Gym on the UNC Campus.
There is no charge for admission and the event is open to everyone. There will be free food and fun activities for girls and boys of all ages as Tar Heel student-athletes demonstrate various aspects of their sports.
Afterward, head over to Carmichael Arena, where the UNC women's basketball team hosts Boston College at 2 p.m. Free tickets will be given to all NGWSD Participants (including parent/guardians) who register on eventbrite by Thursday, Jan. 29 at 5 p.m.

NGWSD is celebrated in all 50 states with community-based events, award ceremonies, and activities honoring the achievements of female athletes and encouraging participation of girls and women in sports.
