O'Donnell T-2nd In Symetra Tour Championship

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Catherine O'Donnell is tied for second heading into the third round of the Symetra Tour Championship on Saturday. O'Donnell went 66-67 in the first two rounds to combine for an 11-under 133.
The former Tar Heel golfer had eight birdies in the first round to go with two bogeys. Her second round was unblemished with five birdies and no bogeys. She's hit 25 of 28 fairways and only has 53 putts between the two rounds.
Former Tar Heels Allie White and Katherine Perry are tied for 23rd heading into the final round. White went 70-71 while Perry was 71-70. White is 2/2 on sand saves, helping her stay below par.
Casey Grice is 1-under for the tournament and tied for 37th. However, Grice is currently eighth on the Symetra Tour earnings list. If she concludes the tournament and the Symetra Tour season in the top 10 for earnings, she'll receive an LPGA Tour Card. It would mark the first time a Tar Heel earned an LPGA Tour Card through the earnings list.
The Symetra Tour Championship is being played at the LPGA International – Jones Course, which features a par 72, 6,389-yard layout. Check back on GoHeels.com for an update of Saturday's round.
