#5 Carolina Closes Regular Season Friday At Virginia

SERIES HISTORY
Virginia leads 37-34-9 in the all-time series against North Carolina. The last meeting took place in 2014, when No. 6 Carolina tied 1-1 with No. 21 Virginia. Ten of the last 11 meetings have been decided by one goal or a draw. North Carolina is unbeaten in its last eight matches with Virginia. UVA's last win against UNC came on Oct. 3, 2008, 1-0 in Chapel Hill.
COASTAL DIVISION CHAMPS
The 2-1 victory over Louisville last Friday clinched the ACC's Coastal Division, meaning the Tar Heels will either be the No. 1 or 2 seed in the upcoming ACC Championship. Carolina is also guaranteed to host a quarterfinal round match on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1 p.m.
HUME PUTS UNC OVER NORTHEASTERN
Tucker Hume tallied his ACC-leading ninth goal on Tuesday night in a 1-0 non-conference victory over Northeastern that featured heavy rain for most of the match.
LEADING SCORERS
Tucker Hume leads the ACC with nine goals and 1.38 points per game, while his 22 total points puts him second in the league behind Wake Forest's Jack Harrison who has amassed 23 points (six goals and 11 assists). Alan Winn is second on the Carolina club with 16 total points on six goals and four assists.
Patrick Foss paces Virginia's offense with nine points on two goals and five assists for nine points. Jake Rozhansky tops the Cavaliers with three goals on the year.
