UNC gymnast Kristin Aloi has been accepted into the Rho Chi national academic honor society in pharmacy. Aloi is one of 28 doctor of pharmacy students at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy to earn the honor.
Invitation to the honor society is extended to second-year pharmacy students with GPAs in the top 20 percent of their class.
A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., Aloi competes primarily on the floor exercise with the Tar Heels. She scored a season-high 9.700 in season opener against No. 12 Auburn. Her career high is 9.875. She has also competed on vault and balance beam during her career.
“We are very proud of our inductees this year,” says Anna Cosnahan, president of the School's Rho Chi chapter. “This class was particularly strong academically, and we are happy to initiate these new members.”
Aloi will be inducted March 21 at the Rizzo Center.
