Senior attackman Jimmy Bitter is a legacy at Carolina. The younger brother of Tar Heel legend Billy Bitter, Jimmy has been carving out his own legacy at Fetzer Field. Bitter has been a three-time honorable mention All-America. With 10 goals through three games in 2015, Jimmy has now tied Billy with 99 goals, 11th-most in Carolina history.
Sankey and Bitter have been running mates throughout their Carolina careers. The 5'5, 160-pound Sankey is an attacking blur on the field. He is a two-time USILA All-America and continues to climb the all-time ranks. Sankey too has 99 career goals and is now 10th all-time with 73 career assists.
In 2012, Tutton shared the Tar Heels' Jay Gallagher Memorial Award for outstanding freshman with Bitter and Sankey and then he earned a silver medal on Team Canada at the 2012 FIL U19 World Championships. Tutton is a two-time USILA All-America attacking midfielder and earned preseason honors from Inside Lacrosse magazine. He had 23 multi-point games in his career entering the 2015 season.
Sophomore defenseman Austin Pifani was named preseason All-America by Inside Lacrosse magazine after a terrific freshman season. Pifani was second on the team with 32 ground balls won last year and through three games in 2015 has already tallied 12. Last year's Jay Gallagher Award winner, Pifani was the only freshman to start all 15 games.
