Navy Takes A 6-1 Win Over Blue On Friday

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- Brett Daniels gave up just two hits and one run in 6.0 innings of work to pick up the win as Navy took a 6-1 win over Blue on a chilly afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Logan Warmoth scored on a Tyler Ramirez fielder's choice for Navy's first run in the third, then Landon Lassiter's RBI-double put Navy up 2-0 in the fourth.
Navy would then add four more runs in the fifth. Tyler Ramirez had an RBI double before Michael Massaro ripped a two-RBI single. Skye Bolt drove in the final run of the inning on a sacrifice fly to center. Zack Gahagan drove in Blue's only run with a single in the sixth.
Landon Lassiter was 3-3 with one RBI while Logan Warmoth was 2-3 with two runs scored.
Brett Daniels and Trent Thornton were the two starters. A.J. Bogucki, Reilly Hovis, Hansen Butler, Trevor Kelley and Jack Geraghty threw in relief. Navy had a 9-3 advantage in base hits.
Carolina's next closed scrimmage will be on Saturday.
