North Carolina redshirt junior Evan Henderson and assistant wrestling coach Coleman Scott traveled to Istanbul, Turkey, last week to compete in the prestigious 2015 Yasar Dogu International. Henderson and Scott were part of a 23-man United States contingent at the freestyle event that featured some of the world's top wrestlers.
Henderson fell to teammate and eventual bronze medalist Jimmy Kennedy in the first round of competition at 65 kg (143 pounds). Scott dropped a controversial decision to two-time world champion Viktor Lebedev of Russia at 61 kg (134 pounds). The Tar Heel assistant and 2012 Olympic bronze medalist opened up a 7-0 lead against Lebedev but evenually lost 11-7.
