UNC Earns No. 1 Seed In ACC Women's Tennis Championship

The Tar Heels (26-0, 14-0 ACC) will take on the winner of No. 8 Boston College (13-11, 7-7) and No. 9 Virginia Tech (14-8, 7-7) in quarterfinal action on Friday at 12 p.m. North Carolina will enter the championship in search of its seventh ACC title and first since 2011.
Wednesday's first-round action will begin with No. 12 Syracuse (8-12, 3-11) playing No. 13 Louisville (11-16, 2-12), No. 10 Florida State (13-10, 6-8) squaring off against No. 15 Pitt (2-17, 0-14) and No. 11 Wake Forest (14-12, 4-10) taking on No. 14 NC State (10-15, 1-13).
No. 5 Clemson (15-8, 10-4) will take on the winner of Syracuse/Louisville, while No. 6 Georgia Tech (12-8, 9-5) will take on the winner of Wake Forest/NC State and No. 7 Notre Dame (14-9, 8-6) will face the winner of Florida State/Pitt.
Teams that received double-byes to Friday's quarterfinals along with North Carolina include No. 2 Miami (16-5, 12-2), No. 3 Duke (16-8, 11-3) and No. 4 Virginia (18-5, 11-3).
Action in the 2015 ACC Women's Tennis Championship is set to start at noon on Wednesday afternoon and will conclude on Sunday, April 26 at 2 p.m. with the championship match.
A live video stream will be available on ESPN3 for the Saturday women's semifinal that has the highest remaining seed and Sunday's championship match, with Shawn Kenney handling play-by-play and Brian Clark adding analysis.
