CAROLINA-CLEMSON SERIES HISTORY
• Saturday's contest will be the 186th all-time meeting between Carolina and Clemson. Only five schools - Duke, Maryland, NC State, Virginia and Wake Forest - have been more common opponents for the Tar Heels.
• Clemson leads the all-time series 97-87-1.
• Carolina has had the upper hand in recent seasons, as the Tar Heels have won 11 of the last 13 meetings and six consecutive series. Clemson's last series win over UNC came in 2005 at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.
• For the first time since 2007 and just the second time since 1950, Carolina and Clemson did not play in 2014 due to ACC schedule rotation. The two schools were not scheduled to play in 2006, but met in the College World Series to extend the streak to 56 years.
• UNC took three of four meetings in 2013, including a memorable win in the ACC tournament. After winning two of three in Chapel Hill during the regular season, Carolina scored a 12-7 victory in 14 innings at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park en route to a conference title.
