TAMPA BAY (April 4, 2015) – Sophomore guard Allisha Gray of the North Carolina women's basketball team has been selected a 2015 WBCA Division I Coaches' All-America Team honorable mention.
Gray, from Sandersville, Georgia, was a first team All-ACC selection in 2014-15. She led UNC in scoring with 15.8 points per game, a figure that ranks her among the top-10 scorers in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
She was also second on the Tar Heels with 7.6 rebounds and her 47 steals was good for third on the team.
Gray scored in double figures in 32 of 35 games this past season, and reached the 20-point plateau on nine occasions.
Earlier this season, Gray became the 35th player to score 1,000 career points in UNC program history. She is the first to do so as a sophomore since Ivory Latta in 2005.
