Cloots Shoots 2-Over At Citizen Guard LETAS Trophy

GRAVENWENZEL, Belgium – Leslie Cloots shot a 2-over 74 in the first round of the CitizenGuard LETAS Trophy on Thursday. Cloots, competing as an amateur, is tied for 32nd after the first round of the tournament.
Cloots, a rising junior on the women's golf team, started the first nine holes with a birdie on No. 4 and a bogey on No. 5 to go even in the front nine. Cloots had three birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey on the back nine to end 2-over. Cloots bogeyed 10, but had back-to-back birdies on No. 13 and No. 14. From there Cloots went bogey, double bogey, birdie, bogey.
Cloots is tied for 32nd out of 113 participants and is only three strokes from breaking the top-10. She will tee off tomorrow at 8:55 a.m. CEST (2:25 EST).
