Cloots Fires 6-Under, 66 At Belgium Amateur Championship

GENAPPE, Belgium – Leslie Cloots fired a 6-under 66 in the first round of the Belgium International Amateur Championship on Wednesday. Cloots is tied for first after the first round.
The rising junior on the University of North Carolina women's golf team was sensational on par-5s. She was 4-under on those four holes, including an eagle on No. 3. Cloots also went 3-under from holes 9-11. She finished her round with a birdie on 14, bogey on 15 and a birdie on 17 to total an eagle, five birdies and a single bogey.
Cloots holds a comfortable lead over most of the competition. Only four competitors shot under-par today.
