With Tuesday marking the first day of classes at UNC, the Tar Heels got the day off before beginning the transition to a normal in-season practice schedule. While there was no action on the field, Carolina still had some good news as senior guard Landon Turner was named to the CBSSports.com Preseason All-America first team.

Marquise Williams, who is already on the watch lists for the Maxwell Award and the Davey O'Brien Award, picked up some more preseason recognition this week. In addition to making the Unitas list, Williams was tabbed as the No. 13 player in the ACC entering 2015 by ESPN.com.

Senior quarterback Marquise Williams is a man of many talents on the field. In 2014, he threw for 21 touchdowns, ran for 13 more and caught another. Off the field, he's a man of varied musical interests, as the "mixtape" he shared with Joe Ovies demonstrates. Take a listen below:

The NCAA acclimatization period means that players have time to adjust to the harsh conditions of training camp in the heat of a North Carolina August. For the first two days of practice, players are only in jerseys, shorts and helmets, followed by two days in shoulder pads. On the fifth day - in this case, Friday - it's finally time for full pads.
Tuesday is the last day of just helmets and shorts. We'll be in shoulder pads tomorrow and full pads Friday. #UNCFB pic.twitter.com/DHvZjIJDZK

Throughout camp, GoHeelsTV will bring fans a unique look at the program through video features. Already this week, Shakeel Rashad took you behind the scenes at move-in day. For Monday's first practice, coach Larry Fedora was mic'd up on the field from start to finish.
At the ACC Football Kickoff in July, fifth-year seniors Marquise Williams and Jeff Schoettmer talked a lot about the 2015 team's focus on leadership and accountability. For some details about what this season means to Williams, check out this feature from Lee Pace.

One of the biggest off-the-field stories this offseason has been the new uniforms that were designed in conjunction with the Nike brand identity refresh. While the full uniform won't be seen in action until the Tar Heels arrive in Charlotte, one key aspect of the new look was on display Monday:
