Navy Wins Sunday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The Navy squad jumped out to 3-0 lead and held on to take a 4-3 win over Blue on a great day for baseball on Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium.
Alex Raburn's single to right drove in Zack Gahagan for the first run of the scrimmage in the second inning. Brian Miller scored on a wild pitch later in the inning for a 2-0 Navy lead. Navy took a 3-0 lead on a Utah Jones run-scoring single in the fifth.
Blue came back with two runs in the seventh as Adrian Chacon and Brandon Riley had RBI-singles. Navy responded with run in the eighth on a Cody Roberts run-scoring single for a 4-2 lead. Chase Fullington had a solo homer in the bottom of the eighth for the final 4-3 margin.
Josh Hiatt and Trevor Gay were the two starters, while Kyle Datres, Ryder Ryan and J.T. Rogoszewski threw in relief.
Carolina's next closed scrimmage will be on Wednesday.
