Blue Wins Sunday's Scrimmage

Chapel Hill, N.C. -- The Blue squad jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first and held on for a 7-6 win over Navy on Sunday afternoon at Boshamer Stadium
Blue scored three runs in the first on Zack Gahagan and Brian Miller's RBI-singles and a run that scored on an error. Navy scored their first run in the fourth on a fielder's choice before plating three runs in the fifth. Navy's three-run fifth consisted of an Adam Pate RBI-single, a bases-loaded walk and a run on a fielder's choice.
Blue tied the score at 4-4 in the bottom of the fifth on a fielder's choice. Blue took a 6-4 lead in the seventh on Brian Miller's sacrifice fly and Ryder Ryan's run-scoring single. Blue picked up one more run in the eighth on Brandon Riley's home run to right. Navy scored their last two runs in the ninth on Adam Pate's two-run single.
Ryder Ryan and Trevor Gay got the starts. Chris McCue, J.T. Rogoszewski, Logan Welch, Spencer Trayner, Jordan Gubelman and Taylor Sugg threw in relief.
