Heels Hold Final Scrimmage Before FWS

Chapel Hill, N.C. - The North Carolina Tar Heels held their final scrimmage before the Fall World Series on Monday afternoon on a beautiful day at Boshamer Stadium.
Brendan Illies paced the offense by going 4-5 with three doubles and a home run, accounting for seven RBIs. Aaron Greenfield was 4-5 with four RBIs and four runs scored.
Ike Freeman, Utah Jones, Brandon Riley, Kyle Datres and Michael Busch each had two hits. Josh Ladowski, Jones, Datres and Busch each doubled.
Cole Aker and Zach Attianese were the starters. Also seeing action on the mound were Logan Welch, Tyler Baum, Teddy Sabato, Josh Hiatt, Trevor Gay, Evan Odum and J.T. Rogoszewski.
The always-fun three-game Fall World Series will be held on Friday through Sunday with Friday's opener starting at 6:00 p.m. The FWS is free and open to the public.
