Carolina T-10 After One Round At The Landfall Tradition

WILMINGTON, N.C. – The University of North Carolina women's golf team shot 12-over par on Friday to begin the Landfall Tradition. The team is tied for 10th and Bryana Nguyen posted the low score for the Tar Heels at even par.
“The team fought hard today but they struggled some with their approach shots and putting,” head coach Jan Mann said. “They had a good practice after the round and are looking forward to moving up the leaderboard tomorrow.”
Nguyen shot even par with two birdies and two bogeys in the round and is tied for 13th. Leslie Cloots was a stroke behind Nguyen at 1-over par with one birdie and two bogeys. Cloots is tied for 19th. Lexi Harkins posted a 5-over par 77, Brynn Walker shot a 6-over par 69 and Kelly Whaley shot 8-over par. Competing as an individual, Mariana Ocano shot 7-over par.
Carolina will have two more rounds to try and move up the leaderboard to catch Oklahoma who is leading the tournament at 4-under par.
