SERIES HISTORY
Carolina owns a 17-4 edge in the all-time series with the Hokies. UNC has won 11 of the 13 meetings between the two schools since Virginia Tech joined the ACC in 2004-05. However, the Hokies did win 50-47 in the last game played in Chapel Hill in 2014.
LAST TIME OUT
Hillary Summers scored a career-high 23 points to lead North Carolina over host Boston College. Jamie Cherry had 21 points and six assists, N'Dea Bryant added 16 points, while freshmen guards Stephanie Watts and Destinee Walker each chipped in with 12.
Carolina scored a season-high 50 points in the second half, and shot a season-best 53.2 percent for the game, led by Summers' near flawless effort.
