Flanagan Secures Olympic Spot

LOS ANGELES – Shalane Flanagan finished third at the Olympic Marathon Trials to secure her fourth consecutive summer Olympics appearance.
Flanagan struggled through the race with the heat. Flanagan said she thought she was going to drop out at one point, but she finished the race in 2:29:19. Flanagan will compete in the marathon for the second time at the summer Olympics. She already has a bronze in the 10,000.
