Tar Heels Begin Spring Slate At Northrop Grumman Regional

CHAPEL HILL - The North Carolina women's golf program will travel to the 21st Annual Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge to open the 2016 Spring season. Sixteen of the country's best teams will meet at the Palos Verdes Golf Club in Palos Verdes Estates, Calif., for the 21st running of the elite tournament.
Eleven of the 16 schools competing are ranked inside the Golfstat Top-25, including five top-10 squads and the country's No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 slotted teams.
North Carolina is coming off a fall season that saw strong individual performances from each member of the team. The team will continue to use its starting lineup that the team used during the fall season, led by Leslie Cloots who averaged 74.00 strokes per round.
The Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge is being played at the Palos Verdes Golf Club which features a par 71, 6,017-yard layout.
