Tar Heels Set To Compete At LSU Tiger Golf Classic
March 19, 2016 | Women's Golf
BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of North Carolina women's golf team will compete at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic on March 20-22. North Carolina will face another difficult field while competing at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic, but the team is coming off its best finish of the year.
North Carolina finished in seventh place at the LSU Tiger Golf Classic in 2015. The Tar Heels will try to improve upon last year's finish and carry the momentum they gathered from the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate.
Leslie Cloots, Kelly Whaley, Lexi Harkins, Elizabeth Mallett and Bryana Nugyen will represent UNC as the five scoring players. Cheni Xu will make the trip competing as an individual.
The LSU Tiger Golf Classic is hosted by LSU and features a par 72, 6,247-yard layout at the The University Club. Live results for the tournament can be found on Golfstat.com. A recap of performances and results can be found on GoHeels.com following the conclusion of the meet.
