Carolina Remains In 13th At LSU Tiger Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. – The University of North Carolina women's golf team finished the second round of the LSU Tiger Classic in 13th. The Tar Heels shot 28-over-par 316 to be 56-over par for the tournament.
Leslie Cloots led the Tar Heels at 4-over par on the day. Cloots has an aggregate score of 11-over par and is tied for 35th. Kelly Whaley shot a 78 in round two to finish the second round at 15-over par. Whaley is 15-over par for the tournament and tied for 57th. Lexi Harkins and Bryana Nguyen both shot 81s on Monday. Harkins is 14-over par for the tournament and tied for 52nd while Nguyen is 16-over par and tied for 61st. Elizabeth Mallett shot 84 today and is tied for 80th.
Competing as an individual, Cheni Xu shot 6-over par in the second round. Xu is 14-over par and tied for 52nd.
Duke leads the tournament at 13-over par. In second is Arkansas at 25-over par. Tennessee is in third at 27-over par. Tied for fourth is Houston and NC State at 32-over par.
Atop the leaderboard is Celine Boutier from Duke at 5-under par. In second is Blakesly Warren from Tennessee at 1-over par. Tied for third is Maria Fassi from Arkansas and Sarah Bae from NC State at 4-over par. In fifth is Madison Opfer from Tulane at 5-over par. Eight individuals are tied for sixth at 6-over par.
