Carolina Concludes Spec Towns Invitational

ATHENS, Ga. – The University of North Carolina track and field teams completed the Spec Towns Invitational on Saturday with many Tar Heels having successful performances.
Houston Summers took third place in the men's javelin throwing 216-9 (66.06 meters).
Amanda Benninghoff cleared 13-3 ½ (4.05 meters) in the women's pole vault to take fourth overall. Benninghoff tied her outdoor personal record in the pole vault.
Alexis Gannon jumped 41-1 ¾ (12.54 meters) in the triple jump to finish fifth overall.
Natisha Dixon and Kristin Hall went 6-7 in the women's 400-meter hurdles. Dixon ran 1:01.96 while Hall finished in 1:02.52.
UP NEXT
North Carolina will travel to California for elite competition in the Mt. Sac Relays on April 14-16. The meet is especially competitive for distance events.
