Carolina will kickoff its 2016 football season in style against Georgia in Atlanta at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome on September 3. The game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and be televised nationally by ESPN.

Tickets in the UNC allotment are currently SOLD OUT! Tickets may still be available through www.primesport.com, the official partner of the Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game, as well as other secondary ticket outlets.
Clear Bag Policy
The Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl is implementing a new Clear Bag Policy for the Kickoff Game and FanZone. Fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at FanZone, stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, and when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the Georgia Dome.
· Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”
· One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc or similar)
· Small clutch bags, approximately the size of a hand, or 4.5” x 6.5,” can be taken into the stadium in addition to the clear plastic bag

FanZone & Official Victory Walk
North Carolina fans can beat the heat, enjoy interactive games and sponsor attractions, and cheer on the Tar Heels at the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game's official Pep Rally and Victory Walk. FanZone is conveniently located next to the Georgia Dome in the Georgia World Congress Center and is the only event to get you up close and personal with the Tar Heels before they kick off their season. Your game ticket gives you FREE access to FanZone and the Victory Walk.
Tailgate Town
Fans can join the FREE tailgate party at Tailgate Town Built by The Home Depot, located just outside the Georgia Dome in West Plaza. Enjoy tailgate games and activities, food samplings, fan giveaways, music, and a viewing area for all the day's college football games.

The Old Leather Helmet
Each year, the best in college football open the season in Atlanta. At stake? The Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game's coveted Old Leather Helmet Trophy. An icon of toughness and courage, it represents the origins of college football rivalries, and is worn only by the winner of the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game.
Regular season “trophy games” are an integral part of the history of college football: From Paul Bunyan's Axe to the Golden Hat to the Victory Bell to the Seminole War Canoe, college football is filled with emblems of big-game rivalries.
And now, the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game has added The Old Leather Helmet to the mix, starting its own tradition. The difference is, playing for the Old Leather Helmet is by invitation only.
The battle for The Old Leather Helmet has served as a showcase for the brightest stars in college football since 2008, with a list of alumni that includes 25 NFL first-round draft picks, six National Coaches of the Year and 11 players who have earned National Player of the Year awards.
