Whaley Qualifies For Match Play At U.S. Women's Amateur

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. – Kelly Whaley advanced to the match play stage of the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship with a 1-under 70 today at the Rolling Green Golf Club. Whaley's 70 brings her stroke play score to 143 (+1) which tied for 33rd.
Whaley, a rising sophomore on the North Carolina women's golf team, knocked down three birdies to just two bogeys on the day. She'll begin match play on Wednesday.
Lexi Harkins, a rising junior on the team, finished tied for 142nd.
