Pyle, Wright Selected For National Team Of The Week

James Pyle and Zach Wright of the No. 1-ranked North Carolina men's soccer team were selected for national team of the week honors after leading the Tar Heels to a pair of victories last week to maintain its perfect start to the season.
Pyle landed on the TopDrawerSoccer team of the week, while Wright found a place on the College Soccer News' team.
Pyle, from Charlotte, North Carolina, saved a penalty kick Carolina on Friday night in the 1-0 victory at second-ranked Clemson in the ACC opener for both clubs in Clemson, S.C. The sophomore keeper came up with the key penalty save in the first half to keep the match tied 0-0 at halftime. Pyle was credited with six saves against the Tigers and earned his third shutout in four matches this season.
Pyle also made three saves in a 3-2 win over VCU on Monday night in Chapel Hill.
Wright scored in the 87th minute in the win over the Tigers. The Smithville, Texas, native also recorded two assists in the win over VCU.
Wright, who had a direct hand in three of the four goals scored by the Tar Heels last week, is tied for the team lead with six points on two goals and two assists in 2016.
