Walker Hume Scores Game Winner Over Pitt

North Carolina improved to 5-1 on the season, and 2-0 against the Atlantic Coast Conference. Pitt falls to 1-4-1, 0-2.
Carolina took the lead in the 37th minute when twin-brothers Tucker and Walker Hume connected for the goal. Reserve Jelani Pieters earned a free kick from 30 yards out straight on from goal. Freshman Cam Lindley's chip found the chest of Tucker and he left a pass for his brother to deposit from 18 yards.
It was the first Hume-to-Hume goal at UNC for the San Angelo, Texas, natives. Walker now has two goals on the season.
James Pyle recorded his fourth clean sheet of the season, and now has 10 for his career with the Tar Heels.
UNC enjoyed an 11-3 advantage in shots and a 7-2 margin in corner kicks.
North Carolina visits William & Mary on Tuesday at 7 p.m., in Williamsburg, Va.
