Football Signing Day Celebration Set For Feb. 1
January 19, 2017 | Football
CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Carolina fans are encouraged to join head coach Larry Fedora and his staff for a signing day celebration at the Blue Zone Concourse Club on Wednesday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m. The program, hosted by Jones Angell, will include comments from Fedora, assistant coaches and current Carolina players. Tickets to the event are $25 and include hors d'oeuvres and a wide range of beverages.
Graphics, photos and video highlights of the 2017 signing class will be played on the screens in the stadium and Blue Zone throughout the evening, and the recent January enrollees will be introduced. An area will be set up for fans to take photos with the UNC's helmets and uniforms. New this year will be an opportunity for fans to sign their own NLI and pledge their commitment to UNC. Previous signing day events drew large crowds and fans are encouraged to purchase now.
Free parking is available in the Rams Head Deck adjacent to the Blue Zone.
Beginning at 7 a.m., GoHeels.com will be the only source for official confirmation and verification of all 2017 signees as the national letters of intent from Carolina prospects are submitted to the UNC football offices.
GoHeels.com's Signing Day Central will feature signee announcements, bios, highlights and exclusive interviews with UNC football coaches.
GoHeels.com is the only site with access to Fedora for live interviews during the morning and midday hours. Fedora is scheduled to appear on Facebook Live at noon and fans can send in questions.
Carolina will offer up-to-the-minute signing day coverage on all its social media outlets, including twitter.com/tarheelfootball, facebook.com/tarheels, Snapchat and Instagram.
